Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated six new Vande Bharat trains from the revamped Ayodhya Dham railway station. India’s first Amrit Bharat trains were also launched today, with PM Modi flagging off two of these advanced services after officially opening the upgraded railway station in Ayodhya.

The Amrit Bharat Express, incorporating LHB push-pull technology and featuring non-air-conditioned coaches, promises an enhanced travel experience. There are facilities such as comfortable seat layouts, upgraded luggage racks, mobile charging points, LED lighting, CCTV surveillance, and a comprehensive public information system, the trains aim to provide a modern and passenger-friendly journey.

The Amrit Bharat trains which were launched are the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express. Additionally, six new Vande Bharat trains are set to commence operations on various routes, like Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi, Amritsar-Delhi, Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt, Mangalore-Madgaon, and Jalna-Mumbai.

The Prime Minister also dedicated three railway projects valued at Rs 2,300 crore. These projects include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line initiative, sections of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project, and the doubling and electrification project of the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.

Alongside the inauguration of the six Vande Bharat trains, PM Modi also launched the newly constructed airport in Ayodhya and laid the foundation stones for developmental projects for Ayodhya’s progress.
