Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Semicon India – 2025 on September 2 at around 10 AM at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The three-day conference, running from September 2 to 4, is aimed at catalysing a robust, resilient, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in India. On September 3, the Prime Minister will also participate in the CEOs roundtable, scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM.
The event will bring together global industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to deliberate on critical themes including semiconductor fabs, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, research and development, smart manufacturing, infrastructure readiness, and investment opportunities. It will also focus on state-level policy frameworks, initiatives under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme, international cooperation, and the role of start-ups in shaping the future of India’s semiconductor landscape.
According to the organisers, Semicon India 2025 will see participation from over 20,750 attendees, including more than 2,500 delegates representing 48 countries, 150 speakers with over 50 global leaders, and more than 350 exhibitors. The event will feature six-country round table discussions, dedicated country pavilions, and special sections on workforce development and start-ups.
The annual Semicon conferences are recognised globally as key platforms to showcase technological advancements in the semiconductor domain and highlight country-specific policies to strengthen semiconductor ecosystems. In line with the Prime Minister’s vision to project India as a hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development, the event has been previously organised in Bengaluru (2022), Gandhinagar (2023), and Greater Noida (2024).
Semicon India 2025 is expected to further India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for semiconductors, a sector critical for driving growth in high-tech industries, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence applications.
