=Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day visit to Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar between September 13 and 15, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of projects worth more than Rs 71,850 crore. The initiatives will span infrastructure, connectivity, clean energy, cultural development, and social welfare.
Mizoram
On September 13, PM Modi will be in Aizawl to launch and lay the foundation of projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore. Key highlights include the inauguration of the Bairabi-Sairang New Rail Line worth Rs 8,070 crore, connecting Mizoram’s capital to the Indian Railways network for the first time. He will also flag off three new trains: the Sairang-Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang-Guwahati Express, and Sairang-Kolkata Express.
Other projects include road infrastructure such as the Aizawl Bypass Road worth Rs 500 crore, Khankawn–Rongura Road, and Thenzawl–Sialsuk Road. The PM will also inaugurate a multipurpose indoor sports hall, an LPG bottling plant at Mualkhang, and residential schools under PMJVK and EMRS schemes.
Manipur
Later the same day, PM Modi will travel to Churachandpur to lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore, including major urban roads, drainage upgrades, and five national highway projects. In Imphal, he will inaugurate projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore, such as the new Civil Secretariat, IT SEZ building, and Ima Women’s Markets.
Assam
On September 13 evening, the PM will participate in celebrations marking the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati.
On September 14, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects worth over Rs 18,530 crore. This includes the Guwahati Ring Road Project, Darrang Medical College, and the Kuruwa–Narengi Bridge across the Brahmaputra. At Numaligarh, he will inaugurate the Assam Bioethanol Plant and lay the foundation stone of a Polypropylene Plant.
West Bengal
On September 15 morning, PM Modi will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata, themed “Year of Reforms – Transforming for the Future.”
Bihar
Later that day, in Purnea, PM Modi will inaugurate the new terminal building of Purnea Airport and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 36,000 crore. Key projects include the 3×800 MW thermal power project at Pirpainti (Bhagalpur) worth Rs 25,000 crore, and Phase 1 of the Kosi-Mechi River Link Project worth Rs 2,680 crore.
He will also inaugurate and launch multiple rail projects, including the Bikramshila-Katareah Rail Line (Rs 2,170 crore), Araria–Galgalia Rail Line (Rs 4,410 crore), and flag off new Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat Express trains.
In addition, the PM will launch the National Makhana Board in Bihar, aimed at promoting makhana farming, processing, and exports. He will also inaugurate a Sex-Sorted Semen Facility in Purnea, distribute funds worth Rs 500 crore to women’s cluster federations, and hand over homes under PMAY (Rural and Urban).
