On Thursday, October 13, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to inaugurate the fourth Vande Bharat Express train in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, according to authorities who were quoted by the news agency PTI.
The train will chug from Delhi to Amb-Andaura Railway station in Una, according to their claims. The train will stop at Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una while operating six days a week, excluding Wednesdays.
Elections in Himachal Pradesh will take place later this year.
PM Modi launched the third Vande Bharat Express last month in Gujarat, another election-bound state. This train travels between Mumbai and Gandhinagar.
On February 15, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi debuted the first Vande Bharat Express. A few months prior, ICF had introduced coaches produced in India. These trains have a self-propelled engine that can conserve diesel and consume 30% less power.
As of March 2022, the Indian Railways will only operate the Vande Bharat Express, also known as Train 18, on two significant routes: one from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and the other from New Delhi to Varanasi.
The entire Vande Bharat train is made in India. It has no separate engine because it is a self-propelled engine train. It boasts automatic doors, air-conditioned coach cars, and a chair that can revolve up to 180 degrees.
Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, had earlier declared 400 Vande Bharat Express would be introduced over the following three years.
“400 new generation Vande Bharat trains with better efficiency to be brought in during the next 3 years; 100 PM Gati Shakti Cargo terminals to be developed during next 3 years and implementation of innovative ways for building metro systems,” FM Sitharaman had said.
