Zerodha’s co-founder and CEO Nithin Kamath in a series of tweet shared his recipe of adding ragi to wheat flour and dosa batter at home. He said that it makes good healthier and tastier. This tweet aught the attention of PM Modi.
PM Modi has been batting for increased use of millets in daily food so the CEO’S tweet won the PM’s approval.
Kamath in a Twitter thread shared reasons why everyone should introduce millets in their diets and discuss about its effects more often. The CEO said that, “Most of us don’t know that millets are also good for the planet because they consume much less water and pesticides.
“The CEO also shared a research paper on the ecological benefits of millets put together by Zerodha’s non-profit organization Rainmatter Foundation. Millets ragi, jowar, and bajra are rich in micronutrients, fiber, proteins and complex carbs and antioxidants and are gluten-free.
PM Modi had met the CEO last week and commented that the Twitter thread was a ‘good read’.
