Top government and defence sources have stated to ANI that the difference between India and Pakistan’s military capabilities was laid bare during the latest escalation. According to ANI, sources confirmed that India attacked at will, delivering precise and targeted strikes under Operation Sindoor, while most of Pakistan’s retaliatory attempts were foiled effectively by India’s advanced air defence grid.

“There was a clear gap between technical and military application. The difference between India and Pakistan was massive. Pakistan realised they were not in that league,” a senior source told ANI. “They should now have no doubt.”

Earlier: Ceasefire violated within hours

These remarks come just hours after Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement, which had officially come into effect at 5:00 PM IST on May 10, following a DGMO-level understanding between the two sides. Despite the agreement, explosions were reported in Srinagar, Udhampur, and other key areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had tweeted, “What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions heard across Srinagar!!!” Similar disturbances were reported from Barmer, Rajouri, and Akhnoor, leading to complete blackouts and red alert advisories in multiple states.

The Indian Armed Forces, in response, were placed on high operational alert. Sources confirmed that BSF was given a free hand to retaliate against further violations along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC).

As the situation evolves, India has reiterated its stand: while committed to peace, any aggression will be met with firm and proportionate military action.
