The Delhi NIA court sent six terrorist suspects to remand for 4 days. The suspects were arrested from West Bengal and Kerala for allegedly being part of Al Qaeda.
Three days ago 9 suspects were arrested: three from Ernakulam, Kerala, and six from Murshidabad, West Bengal. The six terrorists arrested from West Bengal were Abu Sufiyan, Maniul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal, and Atitur Rehman, according to one Tribune India report. The terrorists from Kerala were Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswa, and Mosaraf Hossen. The suspects were planning an attack on innocent people and were stymied after NIA carried raids and investigations.
The individuals were apparently influenced by Al Qaeda on social media to take part in the terrorist group and attack “multiple locations including the National Capital Region.”
