Need coordinated efforts to curb economic cyber crimes: Telangana CS

Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Thursday underlined the need for coordinated effort on the part of RBI and Police officials to prevent economic related cybercrimes.

Presiding over the state level consultative committee meeting on economic related cybercrimes at BRKR Bhavan here, Santhi Kumar stated that there is a need to create awareness among the public in view of the rise in crimes relating to non-banking loan apps.

She directed that the police officials should immediately take action whenever crime relating to economic offences is registered.
During the meeting, issues relating to non-banking financial matters, economic frauds, real estate, chit fund, deposits mobilisations and cases filed by the public in the courts on financial transactions were reviewed.

RBI Regional Director Nikhila, General Manager Ruchi Asthana, Principal Secretary (Home) Jitender, CID DG Mahesh Bhagwat CIG Rahul Bojja, Special Secretary (Finance ) Ronald Rose, Additional Registrar Cooperative Sumitra and other officials attended.
