Two motorcycle-borne personnel heading for neighbouring Maharashtra were murdered by Maoists who unleashed a hail of bullets in this district’s Bortalav Police Station limits on Monday, law-enforcement authorities confirmed.
The deceased were identified as Constable Rajesh Singh Rajput who hailed from Dongargarh and died on the spot and Dantewada-resident CAF Const Lalit Kumar Samrath who succumbed at an infirmary in Dongargarh.
