Putting an end to the speculations of MNS-BJP alliance, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray on Monday said the MNS-BJP alliance is just conjecture of media.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Raj Thackeray clarified that MNS-BJP alliance is merely a conjecture by the media.
About his meetings with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra BJP Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Raj Thackeray said it was out of personal relations and about political issues.
At present, MNS has not made any alliance with any other political party, he said, adding that his party would contest the upcoming corporation and other local self bodies elections on its own strength in Vidarbha.
Thackeray, who is on Vidarbha tour to strengthen his party in this region, is dejected over the party’s performance in Vidarbha and announced to dissolve the existing body in Vidarbha and would declare a new body at Mumbai after “Navratri”.
As for shifting of Vedanta-Foxconn project from Maharashtra to Gujrat, the MNS Chief expressed concern and criticised leaders for not being serious about bringing big plants by providing necessary facilities as is being done by other states.
