Congress intervening time president Sonia Gandhi is going to hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday i.e. 26th August with Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states and their counterparts of West Bengal, Maharashtra and Jharkhand regarding to the issues of GST(Goods and Services Tax) dues of states and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination Main) and NEET (The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) (UG) exams.
The GST (Goods and Services Tax) revenue collections in July 2020 totalled Rs 87,422 crore, which is 14% less than the past year as economic activities slowed down due to COVID-19 countrywide lockdown, said the Union Finance Ministry on 1 August.
The NTA (National Testing Agency) announced that the JEE (Main) will be held from 1 to 6 September and NEET (UG) on 13 September after the Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking the postponement of the NEET and JEE. Many ministers have been opposing the Centre’s decision to conduct the exams.
