Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of J&K, promotes 550 officers at SP and DSP level as a means of addressing issues with career progressions in the police department. More than 300 officers were also graded DySP, including “440 serving officers.”

Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, today rewarded the accomplished personnel in the police force. Manoj remarked, “Our police force have always shown highest professionalism and greatest perseverance in handling cross-border terrorism & making a concerted effort in maintaining peace in J&K.”

The J&K issued promotions to “Superintendent of Police” and “Deputy Superintendent of Police” for more than 550 officers. The government also granted a selection grade of DySP “in favor of more than 300 officers including 440 serving officers.”

A few of the promotions were pending since 2007.
