
On Thursday afternoon, the leaders of Shiv Sena, RD, TMC, DMK, RJD, AAP, NCP, and the Samajwadi Patry protested outside the Parliament pertaining to the GST payments due to the state of Maharashtra.
Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP said, “Maharashtra has 25,000 crores of dues from the Centre that they are not ready to give. How will we fight against COVID 19?”
There are over 10 lakh citizens affected by the pandemic. In parliament, Sanjay defended the Maharashtra government’s efforts to “contain the pandemic.” The state’s government had controlled the spread of the pandemic in slums like Dharavi “which was noticed by the World Health Organization.”
Leaders continue to demand the debts due to Maharashtra to continue efforts in containing the pandemic.
