Maha: Police raids gambling dens in Dattawadi

The Social Security cell of the Crime Branch raided a gambling den in tinshed near Dattawadi area and seized goods worth of Rs.66,000 here on Sunday.

A case has been registered against 15 people who were allegedly involved in running illegal gambling business.

A statement issued by Commissionerate press room stated that the social security cell of the crime branch received information from their sources that gambling and matka business were going on in a tin shed in Dattawadi area. Accordingly, the team laid a trap and arrested 15 people along with Goods materials in large quantity.

Police said goods worth Rs 66,505 were seized from them including gambling materials and mobile phones.

The raids was carried out under guidance of Sr Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav and Assistant Inspector of Police Aniket Pote of social security cell along with his teams members Ajay Rane, Sandeep Kolge and Pushpendra Chavan, the statement added.
