A 16-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh was reportedly raped by three anonymous persons after being dragged out of her abode in Khargone district, Madhya Pradesh, police reported.

Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Khargone Superintendent of Police informed that the girl lived in a hut in an agricultural field and worked as a labourer. Her parents lived in another village while she lived with her brother.

Three anonymous men came Tuesday night on a bike and attempted to pull the girl out of the hut, Shailendra said.

They hit her brother with a stick. They took the girl to a field and “allegedly took turns to rape her,” he said.

The brother alerted nearby villagers to chase the culprits. But, the culprits were never caught, police said. Three of the men left behind the bike.

The bike was reported to have been a stolen one, police said.

The case occurred one day after the death of a 19-year-old from rape in Harthras.
