The 9th day of ongoing monsoon session of the Lok Sabha was adjourned for one hour due to sloganeering by opposition MPs. The monsoon session of the Parliament started from 14th September and will continue till the end of the month. Earlier a Farm Bill was passed by Rajya Sabha which was disapproved by opposition MPs saying that the decision was unilateral. Thus the opposition MPs shouted slogans and broke the mic of the speaker as the Trinamool Congress’s Derek O’Brien tried to tear the book.

Thus the speaker took action and suspended 8 MPs of opposition. After the suspension, the members, including Trinamool Congress’s Derek O’Brien, Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay singh, Congress’s Rajeev Satav and CPM’s KK Ragesh refused to leave the Upper House on grounds.
This matter and the Farm bills issue resulted in slogans, that raised in Lok Sabha and the session was adjourned for 1 hour.
