The protesting farmers and a journalist met their fateful death on October 3rd when Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s son ran over them in Lakhimpur – Kheri area, while he was driving Mahindra Thar.

Several allegations against the Uttar Pradesh Government came to light that they did not summon Ashish Mishra and that they rebutted the victim’s families’ charges, not protecting the key witnesses and letting the VIP go scot free.

To these allegations, the Uttar Pradesh government stated that an appeal opposing the bail plea had been filed in the Supreme Court yesterday, and they wait for the court authorities to take the relevant action.

Reports state that the accusation of the UP administration of not opposing Ashish Mishra’s bail plea in the Allahabad High Court is baseless and that the UP administration had highly condemned the bail plea.

When asked about the key witness being attacked, the UP government retorted stating they were attacked over a personal clash with Holi colors much to their despise.

Speculations are making rounds that now that BJP has taken the administration reigns in Uttar Pradesh it will also give immunity to Ashish Mishra.
