In the wake of heightened tensions following Operation Sindoor, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has taken stock of the situation in the Union Territory’s border districts.
In an official update, the LG confirmed that he held discussions with senior administrative, police, and district officials, including all District Commissioners (DCs) from the border regions. He assured that the government is fully prepared to deal with any eventuality.
The LG further directed the DCs to initiate the shifting of villagers from vulnerable areas to safer location, ensuring arrangements for boarding, lodging, food, medical care, and transportation. “We will ensure safety of every citizen. Jai Hind!” the LG’s office stated in a tweet.
