Washington, D.C. – Responding to a question from ANI on whether he plans to reset relations with India, U.S. President Donald Trump reassured that ties between New Delhi and Washington remain robust despite current differences.
“I always will, I will always be friends with Modi, he is a great Prime Minister, he is great… I just don’t like what he is doing at this particular moment, but India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about,” Trump said.
The remarks highlight Trump’s continued emphasis on personal camaraderie with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even as he voiced concerns over unspecified recent actions. The reassurance comes amid heightened global scrutiny of trade and strategic alignments.
Diplomatic watchers note that Trump has frequently underscored India’s importance in U.S. foreign policy, particularly in economic and security cooperation. His latest statement indicates that while there may be policy disagreements, the overall relationship remains strong.
