According to an officer on Wednesday, Bombay High Court premises got a bomb threat call from Mumbai Police. According to the news agency PTI, a call came in from Bihar to the Maharashtra police control centre at around 5.45 pm on Tuesday.

“The caller complained that despite paying for the service, it was not rendered. Consequently, I kept a bomb in the high court, the official said.

After receiving the tip, teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and Pundalik Nagar police station arrived at the high court building and conducted a thorough search. However, he claimed that nothing unusual was discovered.

The official stated that teams searched the building’s two floors, its rear area, and the parking lot for the high court, adding that no offence had been reported in connection with this.

Another similar incident occurred on Monday when Google’s Pune headquarters also received a phoney bomb threat call claiming there was a bomb in the building. After the call, the company’s office in Pune was briefly placed on alert.

The individual, who is said to have made the call while intoxicated, was located in Hyderabad and taken into custody there.

Following a warning, Pune Police reached out to Mumbai Police, who then hurried to the premises of the multinational technology company in Pune. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and the police arrived at the scene and conducted thorough searches, but nothing unusual was discovered.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V), Vikrant Deshmukh, “the office, located on the 11th floor of a multi-story commercial building in Pune’s Mundhwa region, received a call late Sunday night that a bomb was kept in the business premises.”
A caller was detained by police. He has been identified as Hyderabad-born Panayam Shivanand. Google filed a complaint with the Mumbai BKC police station. A complaint has been opened by the BKC Police against the caller in accordance with IPC Sections 505(1)(b) and 506(2). The matter is currently the subject of more study.
