“I am thankful to respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji, National President Mr. @JPNadda ji and the central leadership for appointing me as the Governor of Odisha, the holy land of Lord Jagannath. I will perform this responsibility given by the party with full devotion,” said Raghubar Das on X.

Raghubar Das was the first non-tribal chief minister of Jharkhand. After his defeat, the then BJP President and now Home Minister Amit Shah included him in the National Executive and gave him the responsibility of National Vice President.

Apart from Raghubar Das, BJP leader from Telangana Indra Sena Reddy has also been made the Governor of Tripura. He will replace Satya Dev Narayan Arya. Reddy has also been the National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was previously the President of the United States unit of the party.
