
According to the PTI news agency, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here on Monday.
The 63-year-old has been admitted to the hospital’s private ward.
Around 12 p.m., she was brought to the hospital.

During a convocation ceremony at a university in Tamil Nadu recently, the finance minister stated that India is recognised as the world’s pharmacy because it produces global grade medicine at an inexpensive cost.
She stated that India supplies 50% of all generic drug demand in Africa, 40% of generic medicine demand in the United States, and 25% of total medicine demand in the United Kingdom.
She stated at The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University’s 35th annual convocation that India generates around 60% of global vaccinations and 70% of World Health Organization vaccines for important immunisation initiatives.
