Few coaches of Delhi-Kamakhya train derail in Bihar’s Buxar

North-east Express (12560) started from Delhi’s Anand Vihar Railway Station got derailed while on its way to Kamakhya around 9.35 pm near Bihar’s Buxar district.

On Wednesday night, few coaches of Delhi-Kamakhya train got derailed in Bihar’s Buxar, said Ministry of Railway in a statement. The accident took place in Danapur division of Indian railway, near the Raghunathpur railway station.

North-east Express (12560) started from Delhi’s Anand Vihar Railway Station got derailed while on its way to Kamakhya around 9.35 pm near Bihar’s Buxar district. However, there is no report of any casualty yet.

As the train met with the accident in Bihar, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has also ordered officials for speedy rescue work. In an X post, Tejashwi Yadav said: “On the sad incident of overturning of several bogies of North East Express going from Delhi to Guwahati in Buxar, I have instructed the Disaster Management Department, Health Department and district officials of Buxar and Bhojpur to reach the spot as soon as possible, speed up the relief and rescue work and make proper medical arrangements for the injured.”

“Bihar government is actively engaged in rescue, relief and treatment of the victims and injured,” he further added.
