Earlier, a video of KEM Hospital, in which COVID-19 patient was declared dead claimed to be alive went viral. But the truth is not always what the eyes see or what is shown.
As per the doctors of KEM Hospital, the person was dead but the relatives forcefully connected the ventilator to the deceased body. If a ventilator is started while a dead person is still attached, it pushes air inside the chest of the dead body which in turn shows chest movements and fluctuations on the ventilator monitor.
The machine visible in the video was a Ventilator Monitor machine and not a ECG tracker. By the end of the video, A doctor has been seen with a machine who is said to be the one who came to check the ECG of the patient but the video didn’t proceed further with the entire action ahead.
In the video, visuals of doctors and his relatives were seen where the brother asked the doctors to measure the temperature of the patient. Later, it was learned that the patient’s heart was still beating. The kin turned angry after finding out that he was still alive but reported to be dead. The relatives used a massive amount of abusive language.
The police on duty were also present at the scene.
It is accused that the relatives of the patient shot the video but without the entire truth and rules of COVID-19 ICU ward were also violated by them. In the video, it can be seen that many members gathered in the ward.
