The Enforcement Directorate on Friday has provisionally attached a residential flat of Rana Kapoor. Located at Apartment 1, 77 South Audley Street, London, UK. The market value of the flat is £ 13.5 Million (Rs 127 Crore).
The property was purchased by Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor in 2017 for 9.9 Million Pounds (Rs 93 Crores) in the name of DOIT Creations Jersey Limited, wherein accused Rana Kapoor is the beneficial owner.
Information from a reliable source has revealed that Rana Kapoor is trying to alienate his property in London and has hired a famous property consultant. Open sources enquiries have confirmed that his property has been listed for sale on many websites.
ED has initiated an investigation under PMLA against Rana Kapoor and others on the basis of FIR registered by Central Bureau of Investigation under sections 120B r/w 420 of IPC & Section 7, 12 & 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) of PC Act, 1988.
