The Election Commission has imposed a ban on exit polls for the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, with results to be declared on February 8, as reported by ANI. As per the guidelines, campaigning will conclude at 5 PM on February 3, marking the beginning of the mandatory silence period.
On the final day of campaigning, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to organize 22 roadshows and rallies across Delhi, aiming to reclaim power after a 25-year gap. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is optimistic about securing a third consecutive term, while the Congress party is determined to regain its foothold after failing to win any seats in the last two elections.
A total of 1.56 crore eligible voters will cast their ballots across 13,766 polling stations in the national capital on February 5. The voter breakdown includes 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women, and 1,267 third-gender voters. To ensure accessibility, 733 polling stations have been specially designated for persons with disabilities.
