In the latest news from Kashmir, the Enforcement Directorate summoned J&K former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his alleged involvement in buying a property close to the J&K Bank a decade ago, the Enforcement Directorate had previously filed this case this year; PTI reveals.
Omar Abdullah duly paid a visit to Enforcement Directorates headquarters first thing in the morning to record his statement.
On Thursday the National Conference stated that its VP and former CM Omar Abdullah promise to agree to a smooth investigation on the matter as there is no reason for Omar Abdullah to be convicted of any such discrepancy.
The news was confirmed by the National Conference that the Enforcement Directorate had summoned Omar Abdullah and have requested his presence in Delhi for an investigation into the matter.
A spokesperson of the National Conference swiftly reacted stating, “BJP has never sparred a single political party that has stood against it. Be it CBI, ED, NCB, or NIA all have been used for political motifs. Haven’t we seen wherever the state elections are about to happen, Enforcement Directorate comes waltzing in and attacks parties which are against the BJP?”
National Conference clearly states that these so-called investigations are all political in nature. This act is another confirmation of their dubious campaign that was incepted even before August 5th, 2019, when people of power like the Governor back then made remarks against people who opposed the BJP, and clearly they know that there is no possibility of any legal help to those being accused.”
