Lucknow, April 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed the officials to take stern action against the criminals and mafias by demolishing and seizing illegal properties. Yogi’s office tweeted, “Stern action should be taken against criminals and mafias by demolishing and seizing the illegal properties. There should be no leniency towards mining, liquor, animal, forest, land mafias or any other professional criminal”. Earlier, the CM held a meeting with the Home Department officials late on Thursday night. And directed to fix priorities as a part of a 100 days work plan and take swift action on it. “Under ‘Mahila Shakti’ campaign, women security should be conducted effectively and actively. Special campaign should be launched at school, college, market and crowded places,” he said.
He said that security, good arrangements and good governance were the priority of the state government. “Security arrangements at all places of faith and important installations should be made better,” he directed. Yogi directed that police lines should be established properly in every district within a year. “Police officers at every level should do foot patrolling every day. Patrolling by PRV-112 should be conducted effectively on a regular basis. A clean environment should be created in every police station and sitting and drinking water arrangements should be made for the public. Public complaints should be disposed of prominently and efforts should be made to improve the image of the police among the people,” he said.
He directed that all senior officers should do field visits. “Establishment of fire service should be included on the 100 days priorities and be completed accordingly. “Working of the Anti Corruption Unit and Vigilance Unit should be made more effective,” he said. The CM directed that recruitment of 10,000 police personnel should be ensured in 100 days. “Crime should be controlled in rural areas by interacting with village chowkidars. Construction works should be completed in a speedy manner for establishment of three women battalions of PAC. Prosecution in crimes related to women should be done in a speedy manner and effectively,” he said.
He said that accountability of police officers should be ensured at every level. “Policy of zero tolerance should be followed against crime, criminals, corruption and corrupts. Top 10 criminals should be identified at every police station. And district level and stern action should be taken against them,” he said.
