Following the explosion near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh has been placed on high alert as a precautionary measure.
Speaking to ANI, Amitabh Yash, ADG (Law and Order), said that Director General of Police (DGP) has issued instructions to all senior officials across the state to tighten security at sensitive locations, including religious sites, district borders, and major public areas.
“All district police units have been put on alert. Orders have been issued from Lucknow to increase patrolling, vehicle checks, and surveillance in vulnerable zones,” Yash confirmed.
The move comes amid heightened vigilance across Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states, as multiple agencies coordinate to investigate the Red Fort blast and rule out any wider security threats.
