Residents across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) were shaken on Monday morning after strong earthquake tremors were felt around 9:04 AM. The tremors sent people rushing out of their homes and offices in panic, though no immediate reports of damage or injuries have surfaced yet.

According to preliminary data, the earthquake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre located about 4 km from Gurawara in Haryana, close to Rohtak. The tremors were felt widely across New Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, and adjoining areas of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

The Android Earthquake Alerts System reported the quake shortly after it struck, alerting users across the affected region. Witnesses reported shaking that lasted for several seconds, rattling furniture and swaying buildings in some areas.

Authorities have urged the public to stay calm and follow safety protocols in case of aftershocks. People are advised to avoid elevators, stay away from fragile structures, and move to open areas if they feel further tremors.

Officials are monitoring the situation closely, and further updates are awaited from the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) regarding the exact depth and impact of the quake.
