After the proposal by Arvind Kejriwal to reopen Metro services has been cleared by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, the Delhi Metro service is set to resume in a graded manner from September 7 onwards.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has prepared SOP guidelines for the same.

According to this, the metro services would be done in three stages according to the different lines of the metro. Initially, the hours of operation will be from 7 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm and will gradually be increased to the normal timing. Detailed information will be displayed at every station. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also said that it resume its operations in a calibrated manner as per SOP guidelines.

“In phase 1, on 7th September, we are planning to start Yellow Line from Samaypur Badli to Huda City Centre. In phase 2, on 9th September we will start three more lines, Blue Line, Pink Line, and Gurgaon Line,” said DMRC Chief.
“In phase 3, on 10th September, after observing the operation and its impact, we will introduce Red Line (Ghaziabad to Rithala), the Bahadurgarh line, and the Faridabad Line,” he added.
The centre had earlier approved the opening of Metro services across the country from September 7 in its Unlock 4 guidelines.
