Delhi Metro: Book QR code-based ticket through Paytm App, Here’s how

The facility was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of Managing Director of DMRC, Dr. Vikas Kumar and Chief Business Officer of Paytm, Abhay Sharma. 

On Thursday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced its very new QR code-based online ticketing facility through the Paytm mobile application. Under this new facility, passengers will be able to get online QR code ticket on their mobile phones through Paytm app, which is a common online payment platform.

Passengers are required to enter the Paytm app on their mobile phone, and then enter the boarding and destination station in the “Metro” section of the app, followed by the payment of fare. This facility will help passengers in avoiding long waiting lines outside ticket counters in Delhi metro.

“Delhi Metro continues its unwavering commitment to enhancing the ‘ease of booking tickets’ for travelers across its network. Delhi Metro introduces an additional user-friendly option for commuters by launching QR code-based ticketing facility through the Paytm Mobile App,” said DMRC in an X post.

The facility was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of Managing Director of DMRC, Dr. Vikas Kumar and Chief Business Officer of Paytm, Abhay Sharma.

Earlier, this facility was available only on Airport Express Line of Delhi metro, but now passengers will be able to avail this facility across all the lines.
