Delhi High Court has directed private unaided schools and Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas to supply gadget/equipment of optimum configuration as well as provide with internet packages so that EWS/DG (economically weaker sections/disadvantaged groups) students can have access to online learning.
Further to this, Court clarifies that the cost of such gadget – digital equipment as well as internet package will not be a part of tuition fee and have to be provided free of cost to the EWS/DG students by private unaided schools and Government schools itself.
Now, the Court has directed to constitute a three-member committee involving Centre, Delhi govt and a member of school’s association committee, to ensure uniformity as well as to expedite and streamline the process of identification and supply of gadgets/equipment to EWS/DG students.
