Delhi announces relaxations on COVID curbs, allows Metro and DTC buses to operate with full capacity

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority disclosed certain relaxations on COVID curbs in Delhi as a part of its ‘Unlock 8’ order. These relaxations will be into effect at 5am on Monday, July 26. 

According to Delhi Disaster Management Authority’s latest issue on Saturday, the Delhi Metro and DTC buses will be allowed to run at a full capacity from 5 am on Monday onwards.

Relaxations on COVID curbs according to the latest order

-The Delhi Metro will be allowed to run at a full capacity .

-Along with the Delhi Metro, DTC and cluster buses will also operate at 100 percent capacity.

-Theaters and multiplexes are permitted to reopen with a 50 percent seating capacity.

-Spas are allowed to open after meeting certain terms and conditions.

-On the grounds of organizing wedding ceremonies, the maximum number of people have been increased to 100 from 50.

-Similarly, only 100 individuals are permitted to attend funerals.

COVID 19 situation in Delhi 

On Friday, Delhi reported a total of 58 fresh COVID 19 cases in 24 hours. It has recorded one death in the day. According to the government health bulletin, the national capital have witnessed a rise by around 0.9 per cent.

Altogether, the number of active cases in the city reached at 573 as yet.
