An anonymous bomb threat email caused terror in many Bengaluru schools, including those in Yelahanka, Basaveshwaranagara, and Anekal. These emails were from different address as the IP addresses of origin were hidden.
B Dayananda, the commissioner of Bengaluru Police, promised that bomb detection teams would be sent to examine the impacted schools.
Dayananda underlined, that on-site services include police, explosives detection, and disposal units. Previous events demonstrated that these threats were malicious. He requested to everyone to remain calm, stating that it may probably be a scam.
In response to worries, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar visited one of the impacted schools and asked for calm. He had said that a school close to his home got an email threatening to blow up a bomb. After visiting, he said that there was no need to be concerned and that he was in constant contact with the cops.
In response to the threat, a school informed the parents about security concerns and made the decision to send pupils home for safety, based on the advise of the bomb squad.
