In a case relating to a low-intensity explosion that occurred near the Israeli Embassy in the national capital on 29th January, four Kargil based students were arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell for alleged conspiracy with regards to the case and were granted bail by a city Court on Thursday noting that nothing incriminating was found against them. It also mentioned that they were students with blemish-free antecedents, according to a report released by the Indian Express.
For suggesting that the accused students were linked to any kind of terrorist organisation or constituted a threat to society, Dr Pankaj Sharma, metropolitan magistrate, mentioned that nothing incriminating was been put forth by the investigating officer against them and therefore, bail was granted to Ajaz Hussain, Muzammil Hussain, Nazir Hussain, and Zulfikar Ali, who all are in their 20s.
Days after announcing a reward of ₹10 lakh each by the NIA for the identification of the two persons who were captured by CCTV cameras as they were allegedly planting explosive material outside the Israel Embassy, the four young men were arrested by the Special Cell on 23rd June.
The students were brought to Delhi after they were been picked up by the Special Cell during a joint operation with a central agency and local palace from Kargil, as said by Chinmoy Biswal, the Delhi Police Public Relations Officer.
