Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a new chapter in his life post-retirement from T20 internationals. The announcement was made by his wife, Rivaba Jadeja, who is a BJP MLA from Gujarat.
On Thursday, Rivaba Jadeja shared photos on X showing both her and Ravindra Jadeja’s BJP membership cards. She highlighted the party’s ‘sadasyata abhiyan’, or membership drive, which started on September 2. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also renewed his BJP membership on the same day.

Rivaba Jadeja, who joined the BJP in 2019, successfully contested the Gujarat Assembly elections from the Jamnagar North constituency in 2022. Ravindra Jadeja actively supported her campaign, contributing to her victory by a margin of over 50,000 votes.
Despite Ravindra Jadeja’s father and sister supporting the Congress during the elections, Rivaba has stated that there are no ideological conflicts between her and her husband. She emphasized their unified thinking and shared ideology, asserting that their political alignment complements their personal relationship.
