New Delhi: Chief Justice of India BR Gavai has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Red Fort car blast that claimed nine lives and left several others injured on Monday evening.
In a heartfelt message issued on behalf of the Supreme Court of India, the judicial and legal fraternity, CJI Gavai said, “We are all deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life in the car blast that occurred in Delhi on the evening of November 10, 2025.”
He conveyed his condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones, adding, “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who are grieving, as well as with those who are injured or otherwise affected. We hope that the collective compassion and solidarity of the nation will offer some comfort in this hour of sorrow.”
The Chief Justice further reaffirmed the judiciary’s commitment to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the dignity of every citizen. “In this moment of grief, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice, and safeguard the dignity of every citizen,” he stated.
CJI Gavai concluded his message by praying for the departed souls and strength for the grieving families: “May the departed souls rest in eternal peace. May courage and solace reach the bereaved families and all those who mourn this irreparable loss.”
The Supreme Court’s condolence message comes as Delhi and NCR remain on high alert following the blast near Red Fort Metro Station, which is now being investigated under UAPA for suspected terror links.
