In December 1992, the 15th Century Babri Masjid was demolished by a mob. Senior RSS and BJP leaders along with other right-wing leaders were accused of the conspiracy.

The Supre Court of India, in April 2017, had directed a special CBI court to conclude the investigations regarding the demolition in two years.

Now, in September 2020, the special court has finally completed its deliberations and the verdict will be out on the 30th of September.

Amongst the accused are former Deputy Prime Minister of India LK Advani, former BJP President Murli Manohar Joshi, Union Minister Uma Bharati, former Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh and 28 other accused including Kalyan Singh.
As per reports, all the accused have been asked to be present at the verdict which will be given by special CBI judge SK Yadav.

The arguments by the prosecution and defence concluded on the 1st of September and as per reports 351 witnesses and 600 documentary evidence were presented by the CBI in this case.
