Today, Bharatiya Janata Party’s notable 5-member committee overlooking the Birbhum killings will submit their report to party supremo JP Nadda.
Soon after the ghastly Birbhum violence case, BJP supremo JP Nadda recruited 4 ex-IPS officers namely, Satya Pal Singh, Bharati Ghosh, KC Ramamurthy and Brijlal and a political leader who is a BJP President from West Bengal state Sukanta Majumdar.
Sukanta stated, “The 5-member committee reached the actual spot where the incident took place in Birbhum. I must say it wasn’t easy as the ruling party there is TMC. After a detailed inspection and probe into the matter we will submit our report to JP Nadda, and also will give out a discreet report to Amit Shah.”
On the night of 21st March, 10 houses were set ablaze and TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh was killed. Close to 6 women and 2 children were charred to ashes in the Bogtui village of Birbhum, outside the borders of Rampurhat village.
After the Calcutta High Courts directive, the Central Bureau of Investigation was reassigned to probe the Birbhum killings. Local district police officers are also probing the killing of Bhadu Sheikh.
A CCTV grab clearly shows Bhadu Sheikh busy on a call, when the assaulters came on a bike and gunned down Bhadu Shiekh.
3 people so far have been arrested and are suspected to be direct links to the killings in Birbhum, they have been identified as Shera, Raja and Sanju Sheikh.
Moreover, 22 people are in police custody including TMC block supremo Anarul Hossian. Mamta Banerjee ordered Anarul’s arrest even before CBI presided over the case.
Folks of the victims burnt has escaped to the neighbouring town of Batashpur are expected to come back to Bogtui village today. Police checkpoints are in place and 24×7 CCTV coverage has been installed as per High Court’s directive.
