Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by three unidentified gunmen in Mumbai on Saturday night. The senior NCP leader was shot by unidentified gunmen in Bandra East and his tragic death has stunned everyone. The attackers shot two or three bullets at him, according to the police.
His son, Zeeshan Siddique, has now issued a statement on his father’s death. Taking to his X account, he wrote, “With Immense Grief, We inform you that Our Beloved Shri. Baba Siddique, Father of MLA Shri. Zeeshan Baba Siddique & Dr. Arshia Siddique & Husband of Mrs. Shehzeen Siddique has left for his Heavenly Abode.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Siddique, a minister in Maharashtra’s Cabinet from 2004 to 2008, will receive a state funeral.
