Arvind Kejriwal promises free and quality education if AAP comes to power

He also promised that if AAP forms a government in Gujarat, his government would audit all private schools and they will be made to return all “extra money” as it is already being implemented in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal has promised the poll-bound state with ‘free’ and ‘quality’ education if his party, Aam Aadmi Party comes to power.

The Delhi chief minister has said that he would also open new schools in large numbers across the whole state and will improve the existing infrastructure.

All those born in Gujarat will get free and quality education. We will not force anybody. If parents have money, they can send their kids to private schools. But if they do not have money, we will not let the lack of money come in the way of good education for their kids. We will provide them with the best education for free,” he said at a town hall meeting here.

He also promised that if AAP forms a government in Gujarat, his government would audit all private schools and they will be made to return all “extra money” as it is already being implemented in Delhi.

The AAP chief also said that he will curtail the practice of private schools selling uniforms and textbooks.

Along with this, he promised that teachers and other teaching staff will not be assigned non-teaching duties.

“The government will also make sure that facilities of higher education for women are created across the state and issues faced by “Vidya Sahayaks” (education assistants) are sorted out,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal in his previous visit to Gujarat made several promises related to electricity, women, tribal issues, unemployment allowances and several others.
