The prime minister also attached a film honouring BR Ambedkar, which depicts many parts of Baba Saheb’s life and struggle for democracy, as well as policies committed to him by the central government. The Indian Constitution was drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar, often known as the “Father of Indian Democracy.” He was born in Madhya Pradesh on April 14, 1891.
Dr. Ambedkar is a major nation builder in India and an economist who advocates for human rights and women’s empowerment. He presided over India’s Constituent Assembly, which produced the world’s longest written constitution.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s many contributions to the formation of modern-day India are commemorated on April 14 as Ambedkar Jayanti. The jurist’s effort to fight social evils like caste prejudice and injustice is also commemorated on Ambedkar Jayanti. Baba Rao was a fervent proponent of caste equality who consistently spoke out against prejudice based on caste. He was the first to imagine India as a country in which all citizens are treated equally under the law.
