On Friday, the Bombay High Court received a bomb threat, triggering panic on the premises. The entire campus was immediately evacuated as a precautionary measure, with security agencies conducting intensive checks across the court premises. According to a report by Bar and Bench, police and bomb detection squads rushed to the spot and sealed the area to ensure safety.
The threat comes close on the heels of a similar incident at the Delhi High Court earlier in the day. Judges, lawyers, litigants, and staff were evacuated after an email threatened of a bomb blast inside the premises. A bomb disposal squad and security teams carried out a detailed search operation, though no explosives were found.
Authorities have linked the incidents to a recent string of hoax bomb threats across the National Capital Region. Investigations are ongoing to trace the origin of both threats.
