
Following a bomb threat, an international flight from Moscow to Goa made an emergency landing in Jamnagar on Monday.
An email was received by Goa Air Traffic Control indicating a bomb threat onboard the international flight.
A bomb squad and fire department crews have arrived on the scene. Aside from that, CISF personnel, as well as the Collector and Superintendent of Police, have arrived at the airport.
The flight carried around 236 passengers. Following a bomb threat, all passengers are being de-boarded and the aeroplane is being checked.
“All 236 passengers on-board Moscow-Goa chartered flight de-boarded at the airport after the aircraft landed safely at the airport at around 9.49pm,” Jamnagar Airport director said.
The plane has been moved to a secure area. Jamnagar’s district administration has been placed on high alert.
