BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda attended a parliamentary party meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday morning in the Parliament Library Building.
Several Union Ministers were present at the meeting at the Parliament Library building, including Pralhad Joshi, Ashwini Vaishnaw, S. Jaishankar, Anurag Thakur, and Rajnath Singh. The conference, which included several BJP MPs, was presided over by Rajnath Singh.
Notably, the ongoing Monsoon Session is seeing several adjournments in both Houses of Parliament over a variety of problems, from price rise concerns to the arrest of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
In the meantime, the Rajya Sabha will examine the topic of price increases today despite the opposition’s persistent demands. The Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2022 will also be introduced by the government for discussion and passage.
The Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s detention and other concerns caused the opposition Congress and other parties to disrupt proceedings.
Additionally, the Lok Sabha lifted the suspension of four Congress MPs on Monday with the caveat that they refrain from bringing placards into the House.
On July 25, a number of Lok Sabha members, including Manickam Tagore, Ramya Haridas, Jothimani, and TN Prathapan, were expelled from the House for the duration of the Monsoon Session for using placards to disrupt business after receiving a warning from Speaker Om Birla.
The Opposition party had expressed outrage and protested the action, and the Congress responded that the Centre was intimidating them.
Additionally, MP Shashi Tharoor had stated that the administration is blatantly conceited about its overwhelming majority and appears scornful of the necessity of allowing for the opinions of the Opposition.
Additionally, Speaker Om Birla asked all parties to refrain from carrying placards to the Parliament on Monday.
