A bomb was discovered near Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence in Chandigarh

The Punjab and Haryana Secretariat and Assembly are also nearby where the device was discovered.

The Chandigarh police took action on Monday after discovering a live explosive from a helipad approximately 500 metres from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence.

A tubewell operator discovered the live bombshell in the mango orchard near the helipad and Mann’s apartment between 4 and 4:30 p.m. The Chief Minister, however, was not at home when the device was discovered.

Meanwhile, a bomb disposal team has arrived on the scene. Furthermore, the Indian Army’s Western Command has been notified to begin the investigation.
