The Chandigarh police took action on Monday after discovering a live explosive from a helipad approximately 500 metres from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence.
A tubewell operator discovered the live bombshell in the mango orchard near the helipad and Mann’s apartment between 4 and 4:30 p.m. The Chief Minister, however, was not at home when the device was discovered.
Meanwhile, a bomb disposal team has arrived on the scene. Furthermore, the Indian Army’s Western Command has been notified to begin the investigation.
