75th Mann Ki Baat: “India is running the world’s largest vaccination drive,” says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed about Covid Vaccination programme on 75th Episode of Maan Ki Baat.

While addressing the 75th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, March 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that its a matter of honour for everyone today, India is running the world’s largest vaccination programme.

PM Modi appreciated the enthusiasm that people are showing to get vaccinated. He also took some names in his Mann Ki Baat- “Pushpa Shukla from Bhubaneshwar has shared some photographs with me of the vaccination programme. She also urges that I should discuss in Maan ki Baat the enthusiasm visible in the elderly of the household regarding the vaccine.”

PM Modi also said that elder people are more excited to get vaccinated and we are seeing many such pictures from all corners of the country that touch our hearts. He gave some examples- “Ram Dulaiya ji who is 109 year old from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh has taken the vaccine. Similarly, 107 years old Kewal Krishna ji in Delhi has taken the dose of the vaccine. 100 years old Jai Chaudhary from Hyderabad has also taken the vaccine and it’s an appeal to all to take the vaccine.”

PM Modi further added, “I am also observing on Twitter and Facebook how after getting the vaccine for the elderly of their homes people are uploading the picture. A youth Anandan Nair from Kerala in fact has given a new term to this ‘Vaccine Service’.”

Mann Ki Baat  is an Indian radio programme hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he addresses the people of the nation on Air India and DD National. The first show was telecasted on 3rd October 2014. Today, it has completed 75 episodes.
