Eleven individuals including Rajeev Saxena, Sandeep Tyagi and Director of AgustaWestland International, G Saponaro have been named as accused in the supplementary charge sheet of ₹3,727 crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation filed the second charge sheet, it also includes five companies that allegedly played a crucial role in facilitating the movement of kickbacks meant for politicians, bureaucrats and Indian Air Force officials.
2013: The AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scam is a corruption case. It has been alleged that bribes were paid to “middlemen”, perhaps even ruling party at the time, when India agreed to buy 12 AgustaWestland helicopters built by Italian defence manufacturing giant Finmeccanica.
