Mukesh Ambani, the billionaire becomes the 4th richest man in the world. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed Ambani, the chairman of Oil-to- telecom conglomerate Relience Industries, on the fourth rank at the index.
Ambani has travelled far distance and jumped ten places on the index since January as his shares of his giant surged over 145% from a low of Rs 867.82 in March.Only three names feature above Ambani and they are, Jeff Bezos, Bil Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg.
According to the list showing the world’s richest people, Ambani is wealthier than Bernard Arnault, warren Buffett, Steve Ballmer, Larry age, Sergey Brin, Ellon Musk and many more.
Ambani’s entrance to top 5 billionaires is crucial from many perspectives, since decades, the world’s five richest comprised of group dominated by Americans, one or two Europeans and some Mexican.
As of now the Investors that have invested in Relience Jio company are; Google, Facebook, Silver Lake, Vista Equity partners, General Atlantic , KKR, PIF, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Lcatterton and Qualcomm. Qualcomm being the latest investor in four-year-old Relience Jio Platforms. The 5G U.S. giants have also invested $97 million in Relience Jio to acquire a 0.15% equity stake.
The analysts are of view that Jio could debut at valuation of $100 billion within years.
